Our state-of-the-art dental technology allows us to offer our patients services that are faster, better and less intrusive than most people might imagine. The latest computer technology is maximized for treatment as well as patient comfort.
At Glendale Center for Dentistry, Drs Tom and Linda Nguyen are proud to bring all the latest cosmetic dentistry technology to our patients. In the years that we have served patients from Glendale and throughout the Los Angeles area, we have seen dental technology improve tremendously — our patients can now enjoy more comfortable and effective dentistry than ever before!
Mounted on the end of a pen-shaped instrument, the tiny intraoral camera can be used to provide detailed imaging of the teeth and gums. Digital images are captured instantly and sent to a TV screen mounted above each treatment chair, where patient and dentist can view them together.
Intraoral cameras deliver high-quality images that can help patients learn about problem areas and better understand their treatment, which increases their comfort before and during a procedure. Intraoral cameras are quickly becoming the gold standard in cosmetic dentistry offices and are integral to the treatments we offer to our patients.
Just like digital photos, digital X-rays produce large, high-quality images that can be magnified, emailed, or archived. Digital X-rays expose patients to less radiation than traditional X-rays, and they capture images that patients can view on a computer screen with their dentist.
Our practice features its own on-site laboratory so that any repairs or fabrication can be done on the premises. This allows for quicker and more efficient service for our patients.
When determining whether a patient is a good candidate for dental implants, our dentists also use a high-tech instrument called a Cone Beam CT Scan to provide superior analysis of patients' gums and bone structure. The Cone Beam CT scanner uses a cone shaped x-ray beam rather than a conventional linear fan beam, as is the case with Medical CT, to provide images of the bony structures of the skull. As result, the medical CT scanner provides a set of consecutive slices of the patient while the Cone Beam CT scanner provides a volume of data. This process is important in helping our dentists determine whether a patient has sufficient bone thickness to support a dental implant.
Our dentists utilize cutting-edge dental technology with the goal of increasing patient comfort and satisfaction. If you wish to learn more about our technology, our restorative dentistry services, or cosmetic dentistry procedures, we can answer your questions.
